Assistant Professor

Schea Fissel, M.A., CCCSLP, completed her Master of Arts degree at Western Michigan University and is completing a doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Kent State University in Ohio. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist and teaches courses in autism spectrum disorders and evidence based practice. She directs the capstone research projects conducted by graduate students.
Ms. Fissel has clinical expertise in diagnostics and intervention for children with language and literacy concerns. She has worked with children with autism, and has used telepractice and augmentative/alternative communication in her clinical practice.
