Dr. Maria Cuevas obtained her DMD degree in Venezuela, followed by a certificate in Comprehensive Dentistry from New York University College of Dentistry, where she received extensive clinical and didactic training in all areas of general dentistry. At Harvard School of Dental Medicine, she completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and obtained a Doctor of Medical Sciences (D.M.Sc.) degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Cuevas gained extensive experience in Oral Medicine at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she acted as a primary care provider for patients affected with various diseases of the head and neck. Dr. Cuevas also conducts research in oral cancer biology and epigenetics. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
