Laurence D. Johns, M.S.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Johns attended Indiana University for his undergraduate education, obtaining an A.B. degree in Anatomy and Physiology with minors in Chemistry and Zoology.  After a tour of duty with the US Army, he attended dental school at IU, receiving his D.D.S. degree in 1975.  Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Johns served in the US Army for two years as a general dentist, followed by four years private practice in general dentistry.  In 1981, he returned to IU and subsequently received his Endodontic Certificate in 1983 and his M.S.D. degree in 1985.  Dr. Johns has maintained an Endodontic specialty practice since 1983 and has served as President of the Arizona Endodontic Association.  He served as an advisor for the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners for several years and has been involved in several dental and endodontic study clubs.  Three times he was recognized by his peers as a “Top Dentist in Phoenix”.  After 35 years of practice, Dr. Johns has joined the faculty at the College of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University as their staff endodontist.
