Laura Wolford, Ph.D., M.S., CCC-SLP

Dr. Wolford completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences, Cognitive Science, and Psychology at Case Western Reserve University. She received her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Purdue University, conducting research in prosody and Parkinson disease. She completed her doctoral work at the University of the Cumberlands, studying healthcare simulation and transnasal endoscopy.

As a medical speech-language pathologist, Dr. Wolford has practiced in a variety of settings, including Level I Trauma centers, rehabilitation centers, and long-term acute care hospitals. She is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist and teaches courses in swallowing disorders, voice and resonance disorders, and advanced practices in dysphagia. Dr. Wolford’s clinical expertise centers specifically on assessment and treatment of adults with complex medical cases, tracheostomy and ventilator dependence, and swallowing disorders.
