Jay Geaman, D.D.S.
Dr. Jay Geaman received his B.A. from Rutgers University. After graduating from Georgetown University Dental School he participated in a General Practice Residency Program. His private practice experience spanned 36 years in solo, faculty, and corporate settings.
He has over 25 years of teaching experience at Northwestern University, Kennedy-King College Dental Hygiene Program, and now Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine – Illinois (CDMI). He was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the dental national honorary society, and is the current Vice-President as well as a charter member of the newer chapter at Midwestern. Dr. Geaman is a member of Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity and an honorary Alpha Omega fraternity member. While at Northwestern, Dr. Geaman received numerous accolades including Faculty of the Year several times, honorary member of the Class of 1986, and honorary membership in student organizations. He was awarded Emeritus Associate Professor upon the closure of Northwestern’s dental school. He is currently a member of the American Dental Education Association.
He has now returned to full-time academia and is fortunate to have a dual appointment at Midwestern in the preclinical and clinical curriculums of CDMI. Having a strong commitment to the educational process, Dr. Geaman hopes to play an ongoing integral role in the development of Midwestern’s CDMI for many years.
Dr. Geaman’s hobbies include military history, skiing, and golf as a spectator.
