George Wolford, Ph.D., M.S., CCC-SLP

Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Wolford earned master’s degrees in both Linguistics and Speech-Language Pathology from Purdue University, researching prosody acquisition in American Sign Language. He completed his doctorate at University of the Cumberlands focusing on clinical education, and he has continued both that line of inquiry and research into child language disorders.

Dr. Wolford is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist whose clinical practice specializes in assessment and language therapy for pediatric clients with autism spectrum disorders and severe disabilities. His clinical background includes service in the Arizona public schools, multi-disciplinary evaluation teams, and in-home therapy.
