George Dougherty, D.D.S.
Clinical Care Coordinator
Dr. Dougherty graduated from SUNY at Geneseo in 1971 with a B.A. degree in biology and earned his D.D.S. in 1975 from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in Washington, D.C. He practiced general dentistry as a Managing Partner with D & S Dental Associates in Washington, D.C. and Bethesda, Maryland from 1975-2009. Dr. Dougherty served as a part-time instructor at Georgetown University School of Dentistry from 1975-1990 where he taught in both the pre-clinical and clinical programs. He was also a founding member of the Tenleytown Dental Scholarship Fund and the Bethesda Implant Study Club. He served as a mentor with the Georgetown Dental Alumni Association and was a past secretary, vice-president, and president of the Washington Dental Study Club. Dr. Dougherty retired from private practice in October, 2009 and relocated to Arizona. He joined the Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona as an Assistant Professor in January, 2010 and currently serves as a Clinical Care Coordinator and holds memberships in the Arizona State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
