Christina M. del Toro, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is an Associate Professor in Speech-Language Pathology at Midwestern University where she teaches graduate students and conducts research. Dr. del Toro teaches courses on aphasia, research methods, and evidence-based practice. In her research, she investigates characteristics of nouns and verbs which facilitate word recall in persons with aphasia and applies these findings to treatment protocols. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Florida. She completed clinical training at the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Hospital in Gainesville, FL.  Her clinical experience and interest are focused on adults with aphasia.
